Nook was born from a simple belief — that home isn’t a place, it’s a feeling.

Having grown up away from a permanent home from a young age, every hostel room, rented house, and shared space became home in its own way. Over time, this shaped the idea behind Nook — a brand created for anyone, anywhere in life, to feel at home.

Because home isn’t made of bricks.
It’s made of people, memories, quiet moments, and the little corners where you feel safe — with your family, friends, roommates, furry companions, or even just yourself.

Everything we create at Nook is designed to bring warmth, comfort, and intention into those spaces — adding a little more love to the nook you call home.

The People Behind Nook

  • Founder | Renuka Salve

    Renuka’s idea of home was shaped by growing up across boarding schools, hostels, rented flats, and shared spaces. For her, home has always been about warmth, safety, and belonging — not permanence. This belief became the heart of Nook.

    With a background in Psychology and experience in marketing- communications she brings emotion and intention into everything Nook creates. She is currently pursuing her Executive General Management Programme at IIM Bangalore that fuels her passion for creating a business.

  • Co-Founder | Rutvik Ghughal

    Rutvik believes good design should make life simpler and calmer. A Computer Science graduate from IIT Guwahati, he brings structure, clarity, and problem-solving to Nook.

    Currently completing his MBA at IIM Bangalore, he focuses on building thoughtful systems behind the brand — ensuring that every warm, intentional product is supported by strong foundations.

  • Our Kitty Crew- a.k.a The Sniff Masters

    Milo, Coco, and Ollie - our resident quality inspectors, always present during pours, shoots, and packaging (mostly supervising).

  • Natural Soy Wax

    We use natural soy wax - chosen for its clean burn, slow melt, and gentle fragrance throw.

  • Curated Scents

    Our fragrances are carefully curated to feel familiar, comforting, and never overpowering.

    From eco resin crete used in our trays to our thoughtfully selected packaging, every material is chosen with intention.
